Two sisters. One kitchen. A new era for oil.

OLERA Organic began in 2020, when the world slowed down and so did we. As identical twin sisters, we had spent years living with short, over-processed hair: too much heat, colour and dryness, and almost no care for the scalp underneath.

With salons closed, we made a decision that changed everything. We put the hot tools away for good and committed to scalp health and natural growth.

We read everything we could find on hair biology, follicle health, growth cycles and traditional deep-oiling methods. Then we started experimenting at night in our kitchen, carefully blending oils over a double boiler.

A controlled experiment, by nature

Identical twins share nearly identical genetics, hair density and texture. That gave us something most hair trials never have: two people with the same hair, following the same routine, comparing results side by side.

Within a few uses we both noticed softer, shinier, more manageable hair. Over months of deep oiling one to three times a week, our hair grew longer, fuller and stronger, with far less breakage.

From remedy to formula

Friends and family asked to try it, then their friends: straight, wavy, curly and coily hair, fine and thick, colour-treated and thinning, men and women alike. After nearly two years, we brought in our father, a biochemist with decades in health and beauty.

Together we rebuilt the blend with premium organic oils, temperature-controlled extraction and natural antioxidant stabilisation. Our kitchen oil lasted two weeks in the fridge. The new formula stays potent and shelf-stable at room temperature, without losing anything that made it work.

Why "OLERA"

Somewhere along the way, the world decided that oil clogs follicles and weighs hair down. Our experience taught us the opposite. Properly sourced, balanced and applied, the right oils nourish the scalp, strengthen strands and support healthier hair over time.

So we named the brand after our mission: bringing oil into a new era.
